The European Statistics Code of Practice comprises 16 principles covering the institutional environment, statistical processes and statistical output. For each of the principles, a set of standards and good practice indicators are established, which contain benchmarks against which the implementation of the Code can be assessed and which provide additional transparency to the European Statistical System.
